Scimitar, through its Saudi Arabian business
partners was contracted by a major Saudi-based saline water
conversion company to conduct a 'Training Needs and Gap
Analysis'. The brief was to determine the current standard
of spoken and written English, against the future requirement
that the client’s personnel should be able to receive
and assimilate security training delivered in English.
The completed analysis served to inform the management of
the ability of their staff to receive security training
delivered in the English language and it also identified
a gap in the ability to train their personnel organically.
As a result, the client endorsed the recommendation that
selected personnel are to receive enhanced English language
training and then be trained as trainers using the PTLLS
‘Train-the-Trainer’ methodology.
